MMIA project news-Various programmes to promote cross-cultural meetings

Within the framework of „Paks Open Gates” project (ID number: MMIA 2.2.16/7-2019-00001), co-financed by the European Union and the Ministry of Interior

Children, adolescents and adults from third-countries and Hungary are welcome to join the diverse and interesting events free of charge within the framework of the “Paks Open Gates” project (ID number: MMIA-2.2.16/7-2019-00001), co-financed by the European Union and the Ministry of the Interior. The events that aim to introduce fellow cultures present in the community to each other, are organized by the Municipality of Paks. The venue of these events is always the Csengey Dénes Cultural Centre. (Paks, Gagarin u. 2.)

Flea Market

Date: 26-27 November 2022 (Saturday-Sunday) 10:00 -13:00:

Old clothes, books, toys, shoes and decorations can exchange hands at the market. One man’s trash is another man’s treasure. Selling is free, but registration is required. The number of stands is limited. At the flea market non-perishable food items, second-hand clothes and toys in good condition can be donated to Paks Microregion Social Centre, who will distribute them to families in need.

On Sunday, 27 November, the programs will continue with a photo exhibition and cookie tasting.

Chesnut-themed handicrafts, exhibition, lecture and gastro programme

A photo exhibition from the works of Russian and Hungarian artists, handicrafts, lectures with chestnut preparation and cooking tips and roasted chestnut tasting awaits visitors.
